She smiled when she finally felt his hands off of her, chuckling quietly to herself. “Thank you.” Her head couldn’t help but tilt at his actions, her brows furrowing together. She turned around, shuffling behind him, following his trail.

He hadn’t bothered to glance over his shoulder as he could hear the quiet footsteps behind him. Not that he really minded either way – company wasn’t something that he complained about, especially with how lately he’d been feeling. Hands in his pockets, he took a right and then when he reached the end of the sidewalk, he stood there, waiting for the light to turn.
